ISCHEMIC STROKE - 2-PAGE LAYOUT
MScBMC @ UofT

This was a patient education piece created while studying in the Masters of Biomedical Communication Program (MScBMC) at the University of Toronto.
1) SCRIPT
First, a preliminary script was created, based on the intended topics to cover. With the target audience intended for a broad general audience, care was taken to include easily understandable language to explain concepts in a simplified way. Additional refinement of this initial script was done throughout the process, with a focus on tailoring the information presented towards the target audience.
2) INITIAL LAYOUT SKETCH
Once the script had been completed, a rough layout of was created. This initial plan was very fluid and would be altered many times during the creation process as new ideas would be integrated to create the final piece.

4) FINAL LAYOUT
With the final script and all 2D assets completed, everything was compiled together in Illustrator with the initial layout (and it's subsequent refinements) in mind. During this stage, it was important to ensure that readability was at the forefront. That means that images and text were positioned in a way that promoted reading flow through the document.
