This is an illustration that shows how a bolus of food travels from the inferior esophagus through the stomach and into the duodenum through the pyloric orifice. It was created while studying in the Masters of Biomedical Communication Program (MScBMC) at the University of Toronto.

I first created a 3D maquette in ZBrush on which I based the initial line drawing. Different ideations on the line drawing were created, and once i settled on a final draft, I coloured and rendered the illustration.
